About the Agri-Food pilot
The Canadian agri-food industry has labour shortages, which are addressed in part through the Agri-Food Pilot. For skilled, non-seasonal employees in particular fields and jobs, the pilot offers a route to permanent residency. The duration is till May 2023.
The procedure involves the following:
- According to the Agri-Food Pilot, you must submit an application before you may
- Experience working in Canada that qualifies in at least one of the listed professions and sectors
- An offer of a full-time, non-seasonal work from a Canadian employer in one of the permitted sectors or professions (outside of Quebec)
- Must satisfy the language standards or surpass them
- To fulfil or surpass the academic requirements
- To possess settlement money (if applicable)
- To keep one’s status as a temporary resident (if already in Canada)
